Hugh is a freelance film and commercials editor based in New York.

Born and raised in New Zealand, he worked as a cinema projectionist, spending late nights stitching films together in a dimly lit room. He then got hired at Ogilvy as a copywriter, but soon found stitching films together in a dimly lit room to be more his thing. So that’s what he still does. Only now with a computer.

He has spent 12 years working at ad agencies and production companies in London, Sydney, Nairobi, Auckland and Wellington. His documentary, The Ronaldo-over, was seen over 6 million times and featured on BBC, TIME, Hypebeast, CNN, and the reddit front page, while his comedic narrative short, A Guide To Dining Out In Nairobi, won a bunch of awards at film festivals.
