Hugh is a filmmaker and content creator based in New York. He is currently the in-house producer at DualEntry, a fintech startup that has raised $100m.

Born and raised in New Zealand, he worked as a cinema projectionist, spending late nights stitching films together in a dimly lit room. He then got hired at Ogilvy as a copywriter, but soon found stitching films together in a dimly lit room to be more his thing. So that’s what he still does. Only now with a computer.

He has spent 15+ years honing his craft at advertising agencies and production companies around the world, including stints in London, Sydney, Auckland and Nairobi.

His documentary, The Ronaldo-over, was seen over 6 million times and featured on BBC, TIME, Hypebeast, CNN, and the reddit front page, while his comedic narrative short, A Guide To Dining Out In Nairobi, was awarded at multiple film festivals.
